We have had a long term relationship with Murphy, Edwards, Goncalves & Ferrera which began with Charlie Murphy more than twenty years ago, when my son and I had started a landscape business. Since then, The Groundskeeper, Inc. has grown significantly, and during this time Michelle Goncalves has been a trusted advisor in supporting our business growth. Today, we have a full service relationship that includes monthly financial meetings and Michelle’s review of our monthly performance against budget. During these meetings, Michelle advises us on important financial decisions which impact the financial health of one or more of our multiple operating companies. Michelle routinely reviews our real estate and large equipment purchases and provides valuable input to achieve the best financial results. To say the least, Michelle has an in depth personal understanding of our business and we appreciate her guidance. Michelle has also worked closely with our legal and banking professionals to assist in the closings of multiple real estate and business transactions. We would, without hesitation, recommend Murphy, Edwards, Goncalves & Ferrera because of their broad understanding of business, their flexibility and their willingness to work with our legal and banking professionals.Dick Churchill, The Groundskeeper, Inc.

Jennifer resides in West Boylston with her husband and daughter.

When the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC) decided to solicit new auditors, Murphy, Edwards, Goncalves, and Ferrera made a fair and thoughtful bid. At that time, BCNC was almost 40 years old, utilizing outdated financial systems, and growing with a complicated public-private funding and management structure. We were seeking a firm to undertake a rigorous assessment of our organization’s financial strengths and weaknesses, as well as provide a professional and unbiased opinion about the changes and growth pains that we were undergoing. Jennifer Ferrera and her team has not disappointed in any of the above areas!

Over the years, Jennifer and her team have provided expert advice and analysis of BCNC’s governance, financial, and management structures and systems. They are effective, efficient and accessible and have educated both our staff and our board on the interpretation of nonprofit finances and provided invaluable guidance for BCNC staff as we sought to create updated financial reports and documents. The value of their work is evident and BCNC cannot be happier with both the rigorous assessment as well as the support that Jennifer Ferrera has provided to the organization!David Jacobs, Director of Finance & Administration, BCNC
